No surgery today. Luckily, not because of Ryan - the O-R at sick kids was used all day with one long case so he got bumped. It was a stressful day of preparing, only to find out... nope - not happening. Hopefully he'll get in tomorrow. It's interesting to see how another NICU operates. SickKids is a really nice place but since they take more preemies with major complications, we're very happy to just be visitors (fingers crossed). We enrolled Ryan in a couple of research studies involving the PDA ligation. Neither of them affect his care post-surgery, they basically just give him more monitoring, which is a good thing.
Hopefully tomorrow's post will have a post-op update.
